The Jonathan Wesley team has decided to create and host the event because they wanted to help provide relief to families that encountered the hardship caused by the recession. In addition to the event, through the entire month of July 2012 they will be collecting non-perishable items for the shelter in South Norwalk office location. Items being collected include toiletries, clothing and canned goods. All proceeds and items collected from the event will go directly to The Open Door shelter in Norwalk, CT.

The building will officially open for business in mid-July and will offer clients the continued face to face customer service that their customers so desperately desire.

For those who are unfamiliar with the charity, Operation Smile is a non-profit organization that provides free surgeries to repair cleft lip, cleft palate, and other facial deformities for children around the world.
Every three minutes a child is born with a cleft. These children are unable to speak and, in some areas in the world, shunned from their communities. The families of these children in need are unable to afford to provide their children with the proper surgery needed to correct the deformity. Since 1982, Operation Smile has provided more than 3.5 million evaluations and over 200,000 free surgeries for children and young adults.
